I have said this before, that I am extremely fortunate to have good eateries nearby, or in the vicinity. Whole Foods, in Porter Ranch, is the place I go to for special and trusted baked goods during the holidays. Easy to observe that they have upped up their game, in this department. In my opinion, they are now a major player (and competitor), in the SFV fresh baked goods market. I have recently been indulging (since the holidays, an excuse ? yes) in their fruit tarts. They are now high class and nothing but super. In addition, I have been buying their mini almond tarts that are moist, fresh, flavorful and so damn addicting. My other new favorite is their chocolate eclair. They make it simple, to highlight its texture, beauty, with a fresh cream filling, unmasked pastry chew and a dark chocolate icing topping. Nothing decadent, not overdone and with due respect to this timeless confectionary classic. Each bite exudes freshness, softness and a balanced, not overdone sweetness and taste. The same can be said of their Pistachio Eclair, this one with mascarpone. Wow.
I love this Whole Foods! This is my main grocery store. I am here all the time! And every year for the past five years or so we have been getting our cute little Christmas trees here. They are beautiful and a perfect size! And price! They're 30 bucks and you really can't beat that :-) They are located by the front entrance to the left. The first set of trees are usually delivered mid November. Then there is usually a second delivery right after Thanksgiving, maybe the first week in December. It's different every time. If I don't see a tree that I love in the first delivery I will wait for the second delivery. That's what happened this year and I'm so glad I waited for the second delivery because I found my perfect little fat Christmas tree. I love her :-)
I love coming here and doing my Amazon returns. It is so quick and easy. You just show them the QR code and they package it back up for you then you go. I'm never in line for more than five minutes. Really cool customer service in a very clean and quick system they have down.

Whole Foods may be pricier than regular grocery stores, but I like to think that cost reflects the quality of their products. The fresh produce, wide selection, and unique specialty items make it a great place to shop. Staff is really nice, super helpful. I also regularly grab lunch from there (sushi or sandwiches) and they're always fresh and yummy That said, I really miss the juice bar--it was such a great addition, and it's disappointing that it's no longer there. Hopefully, they bring it back!
